Grammar -3- Adv Clz + your FINAL

HELLO Girls
here are some important points about the adverb clause and your FINAL EXAM
ADV CLZ
1. ADV clz is a dependent clz
2. it has to have a subordinating conj
3. ADV clz could be of time, cause and effect, opposition, concession...etc
e.g.,

1. Although Billy couldn’t swim, he jumped off the pier. (adverb clause of concession)

2. After he took lessons, George could swim well. (adverb clause of time)

3. Billy drowned because he couldn’t swim. (adverb clause of cause and effect)

Remember that you can start your sentence with the adverb clause or you can finish the sentence with it.
Punctuation is very essential
you have to now the names of your adverb clause (i.e., tell me what kind of clz we have: is it adv clz of time?, of contrast?...etc)

Here are some examples on how we may ask you about the adv clz

Complete the following in your own words. punctuate correctly.

1.Although he isn’t interested in food.......

2. You must practice......

( I advise you to do the exercises on your book)

Your Final Exam

Your final will include all sorts of questions and about everything we have taken and discussed in class ( I repeat EVERYTHING WITH NO EXCEPTION WHAT SO EVER)
